Copper metallurgical industry is one of the most important material industries of a country; it has very important significance to use the new technology of automation and information to accelerate the reformation and development of copper metallurgical enterprise.With the development of the computer, control and network communication technology at full speed, that the fieldbus is regarded as the ground control network of the enterprise's information system has already become an important developing direction of the control network. In the thesis, the author has analyzed the current situation and developing tendency of the industry automation system in copper metallurgy; expounded the details of the producing technology process and controlling demand of the anode furnace;discussed the application of ControlNet fieldbus to the control system of an anode furnace at the basis of analyzing ControlNet fieldbus technology. The author has carried on a deep analysis to the fieldbus control technology, especially the technological characteristic of ControlNet bus and range of application, explained ControlNet's communication mode, arbitrage way and its network system structure emphatically, and compared ControlNet with other common fieldbus technologies. Based on the analyse to the control requests and targets of the concrete anode furnace, the author goes on more overall demonstration to the feasibility of adopting ControlNet to structure the control system, and proposes a detailed and concrete conceptual design.The PLC program is drawled according to the logical controlling frame drawing ,that is drawled by analyzing the dumping of the anode furnace control, every operation mode control, accident operation control and technology progress control. This paper carries on the electrical design, the programming and the scene debugging for typical controls, especially the PID of compress air flow .It has obtained good control effect in the actual movement.The author has analyzed the detail of the OPC technology and the configuration software—RSView32, developed the monitoring software based on Windows NT, that has abundant functions, such as data processing ,alarm monitoring and printing, history trend display, report statistic and printing, electric power monitoring, system security management etc. The man-machine interface is very friendly. On the foundation of the monitoring software, aimed to support OPC technology and RSView32,it integrates the network of control and information, and structures the whole software framework of the anode furnace control .In fact it is studied in the thesis how to use ControlNet to prove the scheme, design system and analyze with the relevant theory to the course control systems same as the anode furnace, including supervisory control and data acquisition. So, the thesis has suitable reference value for the theory study of control system based on fieldbus technology, especially the project application etc.
