With the development of era, the research and application of digital image processing technology emerges as the time requires. This thesis focuses on the application of image processing technology in the automatic measurement of several industry standards of level bars. A synthesized detection system of level bars is proposed. High accuracy, automatic and real-time detection is realized.This thesis covers:The first chapter gives a brief introduction to the digital image processing technology, the main task of this detection and the research background.The second chapter gives a description for composition and software structure of the detection system.The capture of real-time video and image is introduced in the third chapter. In order to meet two different kinds of requirements, two solutions to selection of CCD camera, lens and capture card are put forward. And the programming of the capturing software and programming method are given respectively.The detection method and process of the four industry standards of level bars, which include bubble angle, symmetry of the level bubble, laser accuracy and turn offset of the column level bubble, are discussed in detail from the fourth chapter to the seventh chapter. Moreover, a detailed discussion of the image processing algorithm is also covered.The eighth chapter gives a conclusion of the whole detection system. And some remaining problems and enhance work are discussed.
