Recently, CMOS Image Sensor is widely used in industry, medicine, security,surveillance, avigation, spaceflight and military affairs because that it is highlycompositive, low power, small, simple technics, low cost and it's development cycleis shorter. The developed countries have used CMOS Image Sensor in the domain ofspace exploration and navigation such as star trackers, cameras for remote sensingimages. The researches on commercial CMOS Image Sensor could facilitate the R&Don CMOS imaging system, which will accumulate a lot of experience of the designson the relevant aerospace equipment.The dissertation presents the history, the cardinal principles, compare with CCD,features and using method. An experimental system is designed, in which the imagesensor is IBIS5-A-1300 manufactured by Cypress. Then the timing control is realizedon the Maxâ…ˇCPLD chip EPM570T144C5, and uses the finite state machine to designit's rolling shutter, single slop integration and multiple slop integration synchronousshutter. In the system hardware design, the sensor part and the controlling part areseparated. Four layers of PCB and double layers element design are used. Stablesupply voltage outputted by Low Dropout regulators are applied to make system becharacteristic of high integration, reliability and flexibility. Experiments show that thesystem works stably and has low power dissipation. The images captured by thissystem have good effects.At last, the dissertation makes out summarization, indicates the deficiencies andhow to improve its performance. This system will be a useful reference for othersimilar design in this domain.
