Owing to the advantages of itself, Passive Millimeter Wave Imaging System, which is more and more important in the modern military industry and civil industry , is a hot problem in the world. On the bias of the direct demodulation detection system of Ka band 1-channel has been built, this article design receiver and calibrating device of the 32-channels focal plane array imaging system operates in Ka band.At first, the principles of the 32-channels focal plane array imaging system operates in 8mm band are discussed in detail. According to the request of the system parameters, analyse and design the parts of the focal plane array imaging system, such as antenna, receiver, calibration equipment and imaging system.Secondly, for the request on miniaturized receiver, A design scheme of hybrid integrated total power direct detection receiver is provided. Modeling and Simulation of LNA, detector, video amplifier were accomplished. Based on the simulative calculations, the 8-band receiver was made successfully.Then, general methods of periodic calibration have been presented for discussion. temperature controlling & measuring circuit of calibrating device have been designed, Calibrating devices ,which have a good constant - temperature Performances, were made successfully by a advanced semiconductor refrigeration and heating technologyAt last, based on the data which was supplied by a same type system model,image processing experiments was performed.
