Professor Qian Xuesen proposed the Hall for Workshop of Metasynthetic Engineering(HWME), which is a new methodology to solve complex problems related to the OpenComplex Giant System (OCGS). The HWME is a giant intelligent decision-making andproblem-solving supporting system, which is people oriented and man machine integrated.The main idea of HWME is combining expert groups, all sorts of data and information,and the intelligence of computer together. Several key techniques should be studied, suchas the architecture of HWME, the method of synthesizing the divergent thinking of expertsand organizing discussion information effectively and etc.Based on a lot of related theories of HWME and according to the correspondingrequirements, a web-service based architecture of HWME is proposed. Several modules ofHWME are designed in detail, including expert management module, discuss supportingframework module, discuss supporting tool sets, discuss workflow controlling module,decision-making supporting module, discuss resources management module and etc.How to synthesize the divergent thinking of experts as group decision in HWME isstudied emphatically. According to the real process of group decision, two novelthinking-synthesizing algorithms are proposed. One is based on linguistic judgmentinformation, and the other is based on linguistic evaluation information. The principle,procedure and example are carried out to show the efficiency of these two proposedalgorithms.The characteristics of discussing process and discussion information are analyzed.And a new method to organize the discussion information based on classifications andrelationships is given. The attributes and relationships of discussion information aredefined. The credibility of the experts' demonstration and discussion informationorganization example are also analyzedFinally, several modules of the HWME based on web-service are implemented partly.The system running environment, develop procedure on questionnaire generator moduleand thinking synthesizing module are introduced in detail.
