Metadata Standard Registration System Prototype Implementation

Metadata schema Registry (MR) is a system which can retrieval, registry and issue the definition, application profile of metadata. The thesis takes MR applied in e-Government for example to describe the functions and characteristics of the system.Cross-branch's searches need finding out different schemas from various infor mation systems and mapping them. MR manages metadata schemas centrally, and it can recognition and find out different schemas.The thesis makes researches into some MRs applied in part of domestic and overseas areas, analyzes the conception, functions and management mechanism of MR and refines three core models of MR. This thesis combines with the method of the software engineering to try to develop MR. Make use of modeling tools-U ML and Rational Rose-to model system to be convenient for developing prototype system, forming use case diagram, static diagram, interactive diagram and behavi or diagram, finally develop the prototype system of MR and achieve functions lik e searches, registration and mapping query.
