The GIS (the Geographic Information System), the geography information system, is anew technique, which has come into being in the 1960s. It is a computer system that makesuse of the modern computer graphic and the database techniques to handle the geographyspace and its related data, and it is also a hi-teach that integrates with geography, surveying, geometry, computer science and their respective applied objects. It is broadly applied inthe fields such as geosciences, resources management, land planning, environmentmonitoring, the disaster prevention and disaster reduction, electricity industry, trafficcontrol, the city planning, research, education and national defense etc. and it plays a moreand more important function in the construction of our country's the national economy. It is a life line of the aviation transport service to be safe, efficiency is the importantmotive force of transport services development of aviation. Airport surface trafficmanagement system can ensure the security of the traffic of the airport, improve theefficiency of the airport and through put of airport, have very important function. Over thepast dozens of years, aviation transport service develops at a high speed, the airport surfacesurveillance and traffic management system (SSTMS) gets the extensive attention. Thispaper has recommended the status in quo of the SSTMS sill, and has widely deepened thediscussion about it. This paper has study the child function of SSTMS: airport surfacenetwork analysis system, it main integrated geographical information system, route plantechnology, computer software, etc. It has airport surface surveillance, airport trafficmanagement, the route plan and taxi guiding on airport, etc. This paper transplantsintellectual traffic technology and artificial intelligence technology to the airport surfacetraffic administrative system, this can be said to be the thought of a kind of innovation. This thesis introduces and analyzes the design theory, function and architecture, andsystem performance of related engineering projects. In addition, the thesis also makes athorough analysis of techniques applied in the ATC system in our country, especially ofseveral key techniques, including projection method and various path planning.
