Transmission network is a very important part in telecommunication network andthe optical transmission is most important transmission method at present, differentmethods have been presented in order to improve the transmission speed andtransmission capacity of optical transmission, such as space SDM, TDM, WDM,andso forth. Among them, DWDM is the best one.Firstly, the characteristics and the key technologies of DWDM system arediscussed in this paper.Secondly, some disadvantages are presented by analyzing on the present fibernetwork, and the transmission network of Henan CNC, and the requirements from thedevelopment of the present service circuit.Then, begining with the problems confronted by the present transmissionnetwork of Henan CNC, the feasibility is discussed to construct the high speedtransmission network of Henan CNC, including the consideration of scale, andcapacity, and the comparing among the construction selections of the backbonerouters, and the estimate of investments, and the economic evaluations, etc. inconsideration to the present condition and the service development requirement of thetransmission network. And finally a construction scheme is designed and also carriedout.A conclusion is given in the final of this paper and envisages about thedevelopment tendency of DWDM system is also discussed.The new construction of Henan CNC transmission network has effectivelyoptimized the network structure, and reduced the operating cost as well as improvedmaintenance quality..
