The development of computer technique enters the domain of the virtual world in these few years, and virtual reality is developing as the quickest synthetical technology of many branches of learning. People can make use of the computer system to found one kind of virtual environment personally, People can observe in this virtual environment and interacts with the substance, thus making user feel the experience immersed in the virtual space personally. Introduced the virtual reality technology into the design of complicated system as well as the manufacturing of complicated product, which is one kind of innovating product development course, improving product design quality and an effective way that raises the product development efficiency. Through analyzing of the development tendency of virtual reality technology, The paper takes visualization research of sorting system of logistics distribution center based on VRML, and discusses the human-computer interactive mode in virtual environment.The paper firstly expounds the function characteristics of the picking system of logistics distribution center and the related concept of VRML;Explained the virtual reality design idea about the picking system based on VRML;Have constructed various kinds of installation and equipment models with 3DS MAX software and exported the VRML scene documents; Have edited the VRML documents by VRML Pad2.0 and added light and texture to the scene's models and founded the whole logistics sorting system virtual scene with the programming demand of contribute centre. Have joined the sound node to the distribution center workshop to better realize the vividness and lifelike nature of scene.In the interactive design of the scene, this paper analyses all sorts of interactive way and utilizing three methods to realize its interactive function。Basing on VRML'S own dynamic perception node,realized sorting goods automatically in the high-level shelf, with script and JavaScript programming language that can take control of the moving of the goods and realize sorting electrically, and set the dynamic route of goods sorting. Has used Java language and VRML'S EAI programming connection, programmed with Java Applet that has realized the external control function such as viewpoint exchange and browse mode choosing.and also realizes dynamic revision on some logistics parts. Has given the concrete example for automatically sorting system.The paper has designed of training interface in the virtual scene, and makes the viewers carry on the multiple perspectives, omni-directional observation in the dynamic sorting system of the distribution center. It has the vital significance on product demonstration and the workers and student's training on maintenance of equipments and so on. At last, The optimum method of minimizing the files'length of virtual scene is put forward, which will raise the scene's creating speed and make the logistics sorting system virtual scene lay out easier and smoother.
