Liu, Chief Poetry Study

Liu Jian,a native of Chang-an,who compiled The Old Five Dynasties History.In his political career,he was a Yan Tie Official in Kai Bao seventh year(974 AD),an administrator of Gong Ju in Tai Ping Xing Guo third year(978 AD),a Ci Shi of Rong county for eight years at least at the beginning of the Song Dynasty.His collection of poems had been preserved,what amounts to 81 pieces.Because Liu Jian and his collection have not been studied so far,I will try my best to research on him and his works.The circulation of Liu Jian Collection of Poems' edition and his exsistence condition at that time will be the main focus in the paper.In the first part,all the materials of Liu Jian's life are examined.And then, his collection of poems'edition circulation and system are researched.The result shows that his collection of poems might originate from The Tang Bai Jia Shi and The Zhong Wan Tang Shi Ji.The second part is about his exsistence condition.In this part,something about his poems, such as the subject,the imaginery and the Dian Gu are analysed simplely,combined with the social environment,to explore the poet's exsistence condition at that time.The outcome demonstrates that he had a negative condition at that time.
