With the developing of Stream Media Technology, there are a lot of Stream Media System and that vastness customers are satisfied with the RealNetworks company because of its full-blown production and steady capability. But with the increasing of network customer, the burden of Stream Media Server become so heavy ,if we want to provide high quality service to customers , The administrator must relieve the burden of the Stream Media Server by adding Server. In this way, we can't resolve the problem.We improve on the Stream Media Demand System based on the CDN Technology on this background. Becoming a overlay on the Stream Media on Demand System by using CDN Technology ,It manager the Stream Media resource and the user uniformly and improve the service quality and perfecting the management of the Stream Media System. Main works includes:1. The paper begin with the basic concept of the CDN. Paper emphatically studies two key technology: load balance and content distribution ,analysising their strategy and giving the strategy of the load balance and content distribution suitable for the Stream Media System.2. The paper introduces the software model based on the Stream Media on Demand System suitable for School, which is designed by ourselves. It describes thearchitecture .function models and it's implemental strategy and method .3. At the last, we analyze performance of the System, and has put forward systematic improvement and research work in the future.The System worked in the small range environment And it helped the Stream Media Server to improve efficiency ,reduced the cost.
