Research And Implementation Of IGRS Basic Protocol

In recent years, the concept of digital home has increasingly become hotter andhotter, and with the development of digital home technology, the global digitaldomestic product market is becoming more prosperous. This trend brings greatpotential and expectation for home network market. In this situation, manyinformation technologies influencing digital home network emerge at home andabroad. UPNP provided by Microsoft corp. is more well-known abroad. At home,IGRS (Intelligent Grouping and Resource Sharing) protocol was put forward byLenovo corp. to provide capacity of interconnection and interoperation across variousinformation devices existing in the corporation or home network. It is a simple,high-efficient and easy technology. It will play a great realistic role in improvinginformatization level in our country to research these new technologies, to resolve theproblem of connection, communication and cooperation among information devices,and to realize simple connection and simple control. They will accelerate thepopularity of information devices and the advancement of digital home network.IGRS protocol bases on TCP/IP protocols and WEB technology, and makes useof some existing net work technologies and protocols, such as XML, SOAP, GENAand so on, the design goal of which is realizing automatic discovery, dynamicnetwork, resource sharing and serving together among various informationequipments, domestic appliances and communication equipment in the limitednetwork, and improving mutual operability and easy usability amonong theseequipments, further, exerting functions and features of different equipments fully, andproviding new application model and specific application for clients.This paper emphasizes the basic principle and realization principle of IGRSprotocol, and introduces the IGRS architecture, and analyses the interactive patternbetween devices, and taking this as the basis, IGRS base stack is designed andimplemented with modularization design thought, each module design details ofwhich are specified from module description, outline explanation, interface andstorage allocation these aspects. IGRS protocol is independent of programming language and lower OS and it can be impleted and repotted to other platformconsulting the desing thougt in this paper. IGRS protocol doesn't spcify the electionmethod to elect the device in peer device group for declaration after the declaringdevice has quited the peer device group, so an election method based on AnalyticHierarchy Process is put forward in this paper. An IGRS Application example, IGRSTV, based on this stack is introduced in the end. This product has been shown in the8th CHINA HI-TECH FAIR, which can share the mutimedia resouces in PCs under"zero configuration" situation.
