IGRS protocol is a digital family technology protocol of which patent fully ownedby China. China paid much attention to setting up IGRS protocol and populizing it inorder to enhance the power of Chinese technology in field of national technology. TheChinese IGRS protocol proposal was accepted by IEEE. That means that it is mostprobably that IGRS protocol would be the world's first 3C convergence protocol inthe year of 2008. It would be a breaktrough for Chinese IT industry. Judging by thefact of being accepted by IEEE, IGRS protocol is accepted internationally.IGRS. protocol is not a mature protocol in digital family technology. So IGRSprotocol needs improvements in the field of mechanism for notification of devices'state, manipulation of devices in IGRS network and safty for data exchange. A goodand well-considered mechanism for notification of devices' state provides a reliableresurence for IGRS devices interoperation in IGRS network. Being well consideredfor embedded systems, this thesis offers an implementation of mechanism fornotification of devices' state, which features low recource requirement. Some currentapplications would be simplified by making use of IGRS protocol. The methods,Cross Channel Communication by IGRS Protocol and Multi-Channel Data Transferby IGRS Protocol proposed in this thesis are application innovations for IGRSprotocol. Cross Channel Communication by IGRS Protocol affords a way forcommunication between devices in different channels, while not increasing the cost. Itis also a way for devices interoperation. Cross Channel Communication by IGRSProtocol is a way which could afford a new functionality for digital home application,but it doesen't add up hardware system cost. Multi-Channel Data Transfer by IGRSProtocol could make effient use of free channels, and it could increase data transferspeed. Developing IGRS stack protocol software module, IGRS AV framework andIGRS TV by the theory of software engineering and CMM3 standard would not onlymake the development controllable but also could reduce bugs in development. Thestability and reliability of product could be assured by this developing way. IGRSstack protocol software module and IGRS AV framework could either run on the PCor run on embedded devices. Fully considering the reduced resource and limitedprocessing speed of embedded devices in design and coding, IGRS stack protocolsoftware module and IGRS AV framework feature high effience and little recourserequirement. TI has afforded a brand-new video and audio developing solution namedDaVinci with high tech technology of SoC integrating ARM core and DSP core in asingle chip. It is powerful and it has a wide application field. DirectFB is widly usedby the solution companies for its good performance and small size. Making use ofDirectFB technology and developing on DaVinci solution platform would improve theperformance of IGRS TV, affording effient code for IGRS TV. And it is reference forother IGRS product.
