Research And Implementation Of The Irt-based Adaptive E-learning Training System

The thesis designs and realizes an adaptive e-Learning training system under some theories of adaptive learning system. The e-Learning system is based on Item Response Theory (IRT) which considers both course material difficulty and learner ability to provide individual learning contents for learners. We mainly made the following researching:1. It raises and realizes an adaptive e-Learning training system based on Item Response Theory.2.Aimming at the application of Item Response Theory, the thesis has designed an algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) to estimate parameter of IRT. This new approach conquers shortcoming existed in traditional parameter estimation methods.3.It raise and explains a new knowledge model for adaptive e-Learning system. This new knowledge model breaks through the limitations of the classical Intelligent Tutoring System. It makes building knowledge library easier and compatible with SCORM 2004.
