Assessment Of Applied Research, Data Mining-based Vocational Teaching

Data mining is a process that is to extract implicit, previously unknown and potentiallyuseful information and knowledge from practical applied data, which is multitudinous,incomplete, noisy, fuzzy and stochastic. The application research of data mining hasdeveloped energetically in numerous domains.Teaching evaluation mainly based on students evaluating teachers has great effect onimproving teaching reform and quality. However, how to express, analyze, explain,promulgate and make use of the result of evaluation to stimulate most teachers'enthusiasm,which is to maximize the evaluation, is a new subject that deserves to study.According to the present state of the senior high vocational school, this paper introducesdata mining techniques into teaching evaluation domain, and analyzes various methods ofdata mining. Classification method decision tree is used to mine teaching evaluation data andanalyze the teacher's educational background, age, title etc. The result finds out therelationship between teaching effect and the teacher's state, which supplies decision supportinformation for the teaching department to help teaching management better and improveteaching quality.The methods of data mining design, function module design and decision tree module forteaching evaluation system have been introduced in this paper, the teaching evaluationsystem's implementation process has been described in detail and the system has been tested.The data mining system builds corresponding decision tree, creates corresponding rules whichcan be used to make prediction. By analyzing test results, the system gets decision supportinformation for improving teaching management. Moreover, we have suggested someimproving ideas for data mining system, which can supply more technique support for ourteaching evaluation system.
