Research On Application Of Data Mining In Computer-teaching Evaluation

Data mining is a process that is to extract implicit,previously unknown and potentiallyuseful information and knowledge from practical applied data,which ismultitudinous,incomplete,noisy,fuzzy and stochastic.The research on application of datamining has developed energetically in numerous domains.Teaching evaluation mainly based on students evaluating teachers has great effect onimproving teaching reform and quality.However,how to express,analyze,explain,promulgateand make use of the result of evaluation to stimulate most teachers' enthusiasm,which is tomaximize the evaluation, is a new subject that deserves to study.This paper discusses the basic theory of data mining technology and commonly usedtools of data mining in the first place.Secondly,by sdudying association rule miningalgorithm,analysises the effect to students'test achievement and teaching evaluation scoresthat is produced by teachers'factors in detail.The results show that teachers with wealth ofteaching experience and good sense of responsibility can enable students to achieve goodgrades,young female teachers are more popular among students,which provide decisionsupports for education management department to allocate teacher for classes and forpersonnel departments to recommend talent.Further more,using ID3 decision tree algorithm toestablish the decision tree of whether "test score" is excellent,pruning the classificationdecision tree using post-pruning method,generate classification rules,and complete buildinganalysis decision tree model of whether examination result is excellent.Finally,using SPSSClementine to model and analysis teaching evaluation data further,which validates the resultsof data mining above.
