At present, Electronic Commerce has been very popular. One could easily check theappearance of products, get the characters and performances of products and buy them bybrowsing websites. However, in current Electronic Commerce website, it is still difficultto show all the facets to users. Most product exhibitions are only based on texts andsimple graphical descriptions with audio introduction and so on. Customers cannot havedirect comprehension; Some product exhibition systems can offer three dimensioninterface to users, but these kinds of systems are not interactive enough. And thedevelopment of these exhibition systems needs complex programming and expensiveprofessional virtualization design platform, so developers with high intelligence andadvanced techniques must be available.In this paper, an enterprise-class interactive developing platform for virtual productexhibition system is proposed. This platform is an interactive application developingplatform for enterprises with abilities to design interactive virtual product exhibitionsystems for rigid products. This platform offers interactive designing function for theenterprise users and interactive exhibition function for the customer users.Enterprise users could easily implement an interactive virtual product exhibitionsystem by creating the three dimension model, importing the model into the platform andsetting events, parameters through simple keyboard and mouse operations. These designinformation will be saved in corresponding datasheet automatically by system.Customers can easily get the properties of products, detail information about productperformance and operate product components by several keyboard and mouse interactiveoperations and customize personally.In the paper, the research is based on the key technologies to build the framework ofinteractive virtual product exhibition system developing platform, including themanagement of product component information, the design of interaction function, thebuilding of model hierarchy structure, the definition of product movement, the design ofproduct exhibition mode and personal customization function. Then, the key algorithmsare introduced in detail, and make practical application on the Virtools platform.
