Virtual Design is a virtual reality technology-based new areas of research which could be traced back to 1990s. It is the product of integrated development of multiple technologies, such as computer graphics, artificial intelligence, computer networks, information processing, mechanical design and manufacturing, and so on,but also the inevitable result of crossing and amalgamation of multiple disciplines. Due to the extensive application of virtual reality technology in various disciplines, industries, virtual design at the outset, has shown a tremendous advantage and potential. Virtual design technology not only in the scientific research community, the academic circles, but in the business world has attracted extensive attention and become the study focus.It is in such case, the research focus on the current emerging disciplines and cutting-edge technologies,in relation to Virtual Design ,Ergonomics and virtual reality technology, three-dimensional modeling and scene pretreatment technologies, and on the basis, in-depth studied the application of these new knowledge bodies in industrial design field. As the exampie,the new eco-car solution is the core of the full article.The paper, based on the theoretical of virtual product design, taking the flow of product solution as the main line, in the view of research and application of new knowledge and new technologies, mainly explored the following researches:1. Systematically studied the theory of virtual design of industrial product,as to get a theoretical foundation of the subject study. This part was based on the former research, integrated the latest achievements of industrial design, product design, virtual reality and virtual design, and tracked the domestic and international profile of virtual design,worked with induction,deduction, system summary, systematically explored the theoretical foundation of the subject study.2. Studied the rational analysis and methods of evaluation of product design solutions which based on technical features.The study of this part on the basis of fuzzy mathematics theory has explored into the scientificity and positivity of fuzzy mathematics used into product design solutions.Firstly, it's sorted out and analyzed the technical features of new eco-car.Then ,fuzzy mathematics as a tool to rational analysed and evaluated new eco-car solutions.Finally, through the re-analyse,re-evaluate, and gradually improve the product solution.3. Explored the acquisition of product model based on multi-format conversion,and the foundation of Virtools Data Resource .Firstly ,it studied the acquisitive and modeling methods of new eco-car, summarized the current main 3D software and their respective characteristics, analyzed in detail the acquisition process of new eco-car. Secondly, in-depth studied the data format conversion and related problem solutions before put the model into Virtools program.The end, clearly put forward the creation methods and features of Data Resource in Virtools environment.4. Studied the product multi-ring-degree interactive display based on the Virtools platform. As for the new eco-car solution, this part have an in-depth study majorly from the aspects of the features of Virtools platform display, the method and steps of realize,and the collision detection in scenes.5. Explored the virtual human-computer testing based on the Virtools platform. For one thing,it is a study on the content and method of virtual ergonomics; for another, it is a verification of the scientificalness and practicability for the research subject.
