Network Development And Building A Socialist Harmonious Society

Building a socialist harmonious society is an important task put forward by the Party for the socialism construction on the whole. The construction of a harmonious society takes material civilization with great development of productivity as the basis, and the enhancement of spiritual civilization as well. Having infused vitality and energy into the development of modern society and provided dynamics for accelerating development, network civilization, with network technology as material foundation and network culture as main content is playing an increasing important role in building a harmonious society.The paper carried on the research on the basis of Marxism philosophy's research idea that general research extends to individual research. That is, the relationship between the network development and a harmonious society was comprehensively and systematically analyzed by taking the research idea of ranging from general to individual, from theory to practice, from periphery to core and from the situation to problems then to solutions, which is a quite feasible way to carry on the research.The paper includes three parts:The first part stated the history, present situation and features of network development of out state. Since our state entered Internet in April 1994, network has developed rapidly. By the end of June 2006, there had been 0.123 billion users of Internet, which came after the United States—the first in the world. Over 0.13 billion enterprises offer associated service about Internet. A preliminary development structure, with fundamental telecom operating enterprises as the primary, comprehensive websites and specialized websites as the secondary, has formed mutual-supportively and simulatively. At present, the features of network development in our state are as follows: network has penetrated into many areas ranging from economy to society with diversified applications of Internet, gradual standardization of administration, unequal development of Internet areas, continuous appearance of new Internet technology and business.The second part illustrated the positive and negative influence that network development has on the construction of a harmonious society. The positive influence is as follows: network development helps to quicken the construction of socialism democracy, to achieve a comprehensively sustainable development of economic society, to lead social thoughts of all kinds by taking advantage of socialist values, to strengthen communication and understanding in the society, to facilitate international cultural exchange and promote the comprehensive development of human beings. On the other hand, the negative influence is as follows: network development offered soil for the growing and spreading of non-socialism thoughts, which must bring hidden troubles for the orderly advancement of political and democratic construction; the insecurity of network might jeopard our national security, eroticism and violence onInternet might bring serious social problems as well.The third part stated seven paths to push forward the construction of a harmonious society by using network. Firstly, to get to know and manage network from the height of building a harmonious society; Secondly, to lead the construction of network civilization by using advanced thoughts; thirdly, to expand space for citizens to give their voices via network; fourthly, to standardize network media to make it become a platform for social communication and exchange; fifthly, to enhance the security and validity of network; sixthly, to enhance the sense of self-discipline; Last, to further improve the construction of network fundamental facilities.
