The Internet And The Construction Of Harmonious Society

The rapid development of the Internet triggered profound changes in economy, politics and culture, and provided new opportunity for human's development as well. Nevertheless, as any other new technology , the emergency of the Internet brought about new problems, leading to various contradiction and conflict. In economy, the Internet powerfully pushed the collocation of global resources and many new organizations debuted in the context of global economy, while digital divide rendered many regions not accessible to it for taken by the world and become newly economically dependent consequently. In politics, the Internet offered more prompt participation mode, whereas put democracy at bay. In culture, the Internet accommodated clashes, disputes, integration and sublimation, but also confronted some nations and countries with survival crisis in the fight against penetration. As a new socialization entity, the Internet exerted far-reaching influence on people's socialization process, in particular, early socialization.On the fourth plenary assembly of sixteenth, the communist Party of China brought forward the issue "Construct Socialist Harmonious Society". Base on the origin and intension and character of the thought Socialist harmonious society, this article dissertate the author's some understandings about the advantages of the Internet in constructing socialist harmonious society and the positive factors to make good use of the Internet. The author suggests that the government strengthen the management and the guidance of the Internet and limit the negative effects of the Internet in order to build favorable environment for constructing socialist harmonious society.
