The construction of a socialist harmonious society is our party's significant duty, which is essential to the overall environment of building a comprehensively affluent society and creating a new situation for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. As the media is the party and people's mouthpiece, its function in the operational mechanism of constructing a socialist harmonious society cannot be underestimated. Also, the news media is the important pusher and the propagandist in this process. At the same time, the harmonious news media and the harmonious supervision of public opinion management are important components of constructing the socialist harmonious society. In the near future, the number of web cam will keep increasing, and the influence of network on human life will be greater. "The construction of a harmonious media" is not only the goal of traditional media, but also the network media. Consequently, public opinions expressed through network has took its shape and been more and more active. Also its social influence has been stronger positive and effective network supervision of public opinions is becoming more important to the political and social life; the guidance to public opinions is more prominent in the construction of a socialist harmonious society.The network supervision of public opinions has many merits: full and open expression of public opinions, rapid catch of the web cam's thought for the party and the government, promoted individuality and the citizen's consciousness of being masters, obvious benefits to the social stability, restraint on unhealthy practices and promotion of social transparency.
