Fieldbus, Profibus-dp And Can Interconnect Interface Design

The situation of multi-industrial Field Bus standard existing and development together, promotes research and exploiture of Filed Bus gateway, which becomes one important application technology in Filed Bus. There are several kinds of Filed Bus gateway, such as gateway between different buses, gateway connect Field Bus and industrial Ethernet ,or gateway between some general serial bus(such as RS-232,RS-485,etc.) and Field Bus.The problem of different Field Bus interconnection is introduced in this paper, especially between Profibus-DP and CAN which are applied widely in industrial area. These two Field buses' features are analysed, technique of communication interface between different field buses are discussed. One field bus communication interface function electronic circuit between Profibus-DP and CAN is designed based on dual MCU and protocol ASIC, which composes of two independent parts: one act as DP slave—DP_test_board, another acts as CAN node. These two parts exchange information data through one dual-port RAM. Interface electronic circuit's hardware design and software program design are introduced in detail. This design also integrates some functional module such as LCD screen display and serial communication electronic circuit, which make debug easily.One Field Bus network is made up for debugging this field bus communication interface. This interface practices well on this trial network, accomplishes its origin target of connecting some kind Field Bus equipment of Profibus-DP and CAN.It htakes full advantage of reachable resources of Field Bus Tech. And Automation Key lab, also obtains muc support from Education Committee's science and technology development project of Beijing. This research method and production is valuable for other similar Field Bus research.
