With the rapid developing of modern science and technology,people rely increasingly on power supply. It will cause great accident or economic losses in the event of lack for electricity or power interruption. For escaping from or lessening the losses, people design the Emergency Power Supply (EPS) to offer the power in various accidents. Because the reliability and security of emergency power supply have a direct effect on the safety of the whole system, it is important to research the EPS.In accordance with of state standard, while the power is interrupted, electric energy deposited in batteries is inverted. And switching power frequency voltage transmitted to lighting load should hold 90min's power supply. The system must have necessary work state indication, alarming of sound-light and safeguard. After analyzing and studying the domestic and international current research on EPS application technology, A new EPS bring forth.This paper focuses on components as below:Firstly, because batteries are the only source offering power to system in emergency, it is very important. Based on emergence hours and output capacity of system, we introduce the design of corresponding circuits. In allusion to battery own four states and two states of battery charging and discharging, we design measuring and charge circuits.Secondly, inverter is the core of system and it is also difficulty and stress of our design. This part put emphasis on the main circuit of inverter, choice of power switch, driving circuit and protection, choice of method of control and so on.Finally, because all system functions are implemented by controller, controller is a important part of system too. This part focuses on the function of every system module and their communications.Accordingly, on the basis of theory analysis and emulation, this paper develops the hardware circuit of EPS system. And this paper expounds all modules'circuits of system. Our EPS system realizes the requirements of "green", applied, intelligent and low cost.
