The main objective of this topic for variable frequency power system is hardware and software design,being use Of FPGA for control of variable frequency power supply.Conventional microprocessor,such as the 51 series,is not strong,because of their weak command functions,slow processing speed,long multiplication and division instruction cycle,slow the external circuit data transfer speed,etc.The performance of variable frequency power supply can not fully play,because of these shortcomings,it is also difficult to realize the power of modern industry' on the frequency requirements of real-time control,but high-performance FPGA(or DSP) have been resolved these issues.As the FPGA's high speed,high performance and high frequency characteristics of the switch IGBT of the experimental inverter,and the use of direct digital frequency synthesis DDS,etc.,so the power output waveform is high-frequency,high-quality,high-precision,real-time and wide frequency range; and sub-control method used to make very good high and low frequency waveforms.This frequency conversion system is composed of inverter main circuit system and the FPGA control circuit system,including the FPGA development board, inverter drive circuit,A/Dsampling circuit,transformer circuit,auxiliary poWer supply circuit,regulator rectifier,filter and buffer circuit.The FPGA controller output the 6 PWMs signal(PWM1-PWM6) to control the inverter switch off or on,the output is sampled by current and voltage transformers,and then passing A/D conversion unit to convert into digital signals,Finally,transmiting into FPGA controller to regulate the output,as closed loop control system.Feedback signals transmit into the FPGA pins on the one hand,for output regulation;the other hand,for over-current voltage protection.Software design of this project is to write Verilog HDL code,using FPGA logic gates,1P core,LUT unit,memory,clock(DMC) and other resources,generating the DDS module,the triangle wave module,the module that three-phase sine wave (modulation wave) and the triangular wave(carrier) to compare,the remove module, the dead module,the adjust module,the multiplication module,FM module,fault (overcurrent/overload,over/under voltage,etc.) detect and block protection modules, hardware watchdog module,sample control module,mutual inductance Control module,six PWMs pulse and related algorithms module,and be going to improved keyboard and display control module,and PC serial interface module.Finally,combined hardware with software debugging,proven,software and hardware have achieved the desired goal,and achieved the basic functions,and good results.The subject of all the control circuitry are integrated in the FPGA,reducing the PCB area and improving system reliability,reducing costs.Variable frequency power supply provide their own energy forms required with the electrical equipment,it appliy the inverter technology widely,with efficient and flexible,energy saving,material saving, dynamic performance and good features,to promote development of variable frequency power is important for the chin's the "low carbon economy and clean energy" strategy.
