Computer supported collaborative design (CSCD) is also called distributed collaborative design, and collaborative design for short. Collaborative design system is the system that realizes collaborative system. Collaborative Design is the important application on the product development and research of manufacturing industry of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW). It is the module system development environment and the system platform established with the computer technique, computer network and communication technique, and distributed control technique etc. It is an integrated architecture working in the environment with many persons, many computers and many tasks. Collaborative design helps work members distributing in different groups, different departments, even different enterprises and work-locations work in harmony in the development process. The application of collaborative design can integrate human resources of different enterprises or different departments of the same enterprise, thus avoid problems encountered by a single person or single team, Through this way, the design period of products can be shortened, quality be improved and cost price be lowered.Heterogeneous collaborative design is of the most attention in recent years, compared with the isomorphic collaborative design. It brings forward many new issues in the realization and collaborative control. The thesis has analyzed related techniques in collaborative control in detail. The third chapter analyzes the version management, model sustaining and access control in heterogeneous collaborative design deeply, and points out the outstanding needs. On the basis of the analysis of access control models, the thesis brings out a new access control model — Task and Role Based Access Control, and explains the model in the fourth chapter in detail. The fifth chapter introduces the design and relation of the tables in the database and the realization of the access control and version management system.
