Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) is new development of synergetic technology in the information age. It is based on the flying development of computer and network technology, and to meet the need of the more and more close cooperation. It will improve the efficiency of work, advance the development of social productive force, and affect the human society's modes of production, working and life deeply.Member management and access control are the key technologies of CSCW, as the import parts of cooperation control mechanism and security control mechanism. They affect the performance of the whole CSCW system. This paper researched these two parts, surrounding an instant message system based on CSCW (CIMS).Member management is the fundamental part of the cooperation control mechanism in CSCW, is the precondition of cooperation. Because of the cooperation in CSCW, cooperation team is the most familiar form in cooperation and management of member's status in cooperation team is the core of member management. In CIMS, every member have a default cooperation team, and dynamic change of the cooperation' s member is allowed during the cooperation is processed. These made up the basic mode of member manage in this system. The flow charts of the cooperation teams management and the flow of work in member management part were present.Security control mechanism is one of the key technologies of CSCW. Member identification, member purview control and data encrypt/decrypt are included. In this paper, member access control is discussed. Access control in CSCW mainly research how applytraditional access control into CSCW. Access control models include: conventional discretionary access control (DAC), mandatory access control (MAC) and role-based access control (RBAC).RBAC is adopted broadly in CSCW access control. In the RBAC model, purview is assigned to role, and role is assigned to user, then the map of user and purview is setup. RBAC model provide a flexible and efficiency access control model for CSCW. But the traditional RBAC mode does not give the method to control the role assignment and it cannot assure the least priority of the role' s permission. Considering the limitations of the traditional RBAC system, this article introduced the conception of users' reliability and roles instance to bring forward a considering the users' reliability dynamic RBAC model, and the executing process of the mode was present. The flow of work and the date structure in the access control part of the system implemented in this paper were present.
