With the development of society and economy, more requirements have been proposed on biomedicine, environment and the food quality detection domains. As one of the most important detection means, electronic tongue which simulates human's taste function has been greatly improved, And has wide application in food quality, farm produce and environment detection areas. Therefore, scientists has paid great attention on the research and development of small, compositive and intelligent electronic tongue system.We have developed a novel voltammetric electronic tongue based on the theory of electrochemistry. This electronic tongue consists of three parts, which are coherer electrodes (sensor), signal stimulation module(detector) and data analysis module (analyser). Throught the technique innovation of detection method, detection circuit and analysis system, the electronic tongue has high detection precision and is applied in wine recognition and COD detection.There are several research contents and innovations.In theory aspect, introdue the common electronic tongue sensor and detection means. Mainly introduce the low-selective metal electrodes array and electrochemic voltammetry theory. What's more, proposal mutlifrequency large amplitude pulse voltammetry which remedies the fault of the normal circle voltammetry and normal pluse voltammetry and adds more cross-sensitivity information.In system design aspect, introduce the scaner's hardware structure and software system. Design potentiostat circuit and six channels high precision amplified circuit to achieve the requirement of high precision and low noise.In data analysis asptect, because the original data has high redundancy, we use factors distill and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce the data into serval variables. In order to detect the numerical value, we use LM-BP neutral network arithmetic to build data model based on the sample data.In experiment aspect, we use different brands of wine, different consistency of standerd COD solutions and different consistency of sewerage COD samples asexperiment objects. By using PCA in wine recognition experiment. The system can distinguish different brands of wine. Therefore, this experiment proves that this electronic tongue has good recognition ability in wine test. In COD test experiment, we detect the COD value of unknow samples on the base of LM-BP neutral network model. The result has show that this mutlifrequency electronic tongue system is quite suitable in COD value test.
