Being a kind of modern education technology, distance educationeffectively optimizes the educational resources and brings a revolutionaryreformation in educational ideas and technology. It has become a necessityof modern education. If distance education is put into execution smoothlyand effectively, it must need an environment of high efficient managementand a support platform. With the development and popularization of networktechnology, especially Internet, the distance education based on Internethas become an important way and direction of distance education.Therefore, on the basis of study and analysis on the features of distanceeducation activities that based on network, this paper bring forwards akind of design and development of individualized distance education systemthat based on Internet. This system aims at distance education practice.This paper is made up of seven parts. Because this system is acomprehensive system, I joined in part of the work. So this paper justconnects with the work that I joined in. The first chapter gives a briefintroduction of background, purpose and significance of distance education.The second chapter analyzes the features of distance education anddiscusses the differences between distance education based on Web andtraditional education and then analyzes the advantages of current distanceeducation system. The third chapter gives an introduction of operatingambinent and main technology. The fourth chapter discusses the overalldesign. The fifth chapter discusses detail design, which is the design ofsubsystem that I joined in. The sixth chapter discusses the analysis andprocess of system security. The end gives a summary, expectation,acknowledgement and reference books.
