The national software industry is continuously in the production of workshop for a long time and there are only few practice and research into software quality control,because there are not clear norm and assessing standard at present, it is difficult to realize the quantifiable measure for software quality. The research into software quality control and the software quality assessment are more important among software engineering than others. Owning to the complexity of software itself and the rapid progress of software development, So far now, software quality control and assessment are not well developed on the aspects of theory and technology. Therefore, there are a lot of difficult problems to control software product quality systematical]y and objectively for decades. With the help of the newest research achievements on software metrics and the practice of software development, the software quality control and quantitative assessment are studied.The present development of software metrics has been summarized in this dissertation. The metrics for software project, process metrics, the metrics of software product and the procedure of software metrics have been studied. The software metrics technique of the abroad-- structure-oriented metrics and object-oriented metrics are expounded.From the viewpoint of software quality control, the practical meaning ofsoftware metrics in improving software quality, the quality metrics method of IEEE/std-1061 1992 and classical models in quality measurement are analyzed andcompared. Also, according to the model of ISO and the definition of software lifecycle, a fuzzy software quality synthesis evaluation method is proposed, which makes the assessment more scientifically and objectively.In order to control software quality completely, it must be fully managed.The international popular software quality management model CMM and ISO9000 series are depicted in this dissertation, and their disadvantages in application as well this dissertation puts forward a total management software model based on pragmati...
