This paper discusses the foreign research progress on the virtual plant aimed at growth process of virtual crop, and analyses the primary growth-modeling methods, combines the knowledge about computer graphics, agronomy and applied mathematics, design the maize topology models that based on "Dual-Scale Automaton Model "and geometrical models of maize organs that based on physical constraint, deeply studies the process about crop growth and visualization researches, offers the model of crop growth based on Agent. It offers assistance for agriculture scientific research.Following is the highlights in this article:1 , Design the maize topology models that based on "Dual-Scale Automaton Model",which have explicitly meaning and terse structure, easy to be understood and impleme.2, build the geometrical models of maize organs that based on physical constraint. Simply analyse structure feather of organ that is actted on outside force3, according of architectural characteristics in crop growth process , offers reversely the algorithm to obtain crop configuration parameter that needed in growth cycle. combined topologcial and geometrical structures of maize and realized crop growth visualization that maked use of graphics and image technology about particle system, surface modeling, texture mapping.4, The modeling of crop growth based on Agent is offered and expected to realise concretely. which could tranform the complex eco-physiological model into simple crop apperceive modelThe paper build crop-growth modeling from architectural characteristics, which not only embody process of animation-growth, but also realize the realistic display. animtion growth frame based agent provide a bran-new thought. for crop animation-growth.
