Personalized Learning Support System Design And Development Of Teaching Strategies Editing Tools

Though the instructional research, the author found, instead of using the instructional strategy editing tools, the teacher just organized the online classes with the default instructional activity sequence, so the former system needed to be improved on the functions and services. The work, what the author needs to do, is to design and develop the instructional strategy editing tools, for the teachers organizing online classes more efficiently, based on the former system.The paper adopts technical artificiality defect analysis as basic research method, also with the use of document investigation method, analysis method, software engineer method and so on. The paper introduces the relative concepts and theories about personalized learning, and the developing situation on the personalized learning supported system. Based on the concepts, theories and the situations, the proposal of the instructional strategy editing tools is brought up, including add instructional strategy, modify instructional strategy, use instructional strategy and search instructional strategy. At the same time, the permission of the users(students, teachers and administrators) is defined in the proposal. The key technology includes using metadata to describe instructional activity and componentization development mode.The author provides the solution to the instructional strategy editing tools in the personalized learning supported system. The solution allows the teachers to add, to modify, to use, to search the instructional strategy, and provides relative computer mediated communication tools in the online courses. During the development of the system, three layers architecture is used, which is consisted of data layer, service layer and presentation layer. ASP is mainly programming language, SQL server 2000 from Microsoft is the data management system, Dreamweaver MX 2004 from Adobe is for the designation of the pages, Internet Information Service 5.0 from Microsoft is application server.The conclusion is submitted as follows:1. Instructional strategy editing tools is necessary on theory and available on practice.2. With using the instructional strategy editing tools, teachers extend the instructional strategy database much larger.3. Instructional strategy editing tools can provide the data source for getting the teacher's tacit knowledge.
