With the rapid development of the information technology,personalized service has become a very active research direction in E-Learning field.It aims to analyze learner's personal needs by analyzing their personalized information and provide effective and targeted personalized education service.It can meet the learning needs of learner individual and raise their study efficiency.First,we introduce the research background of the subject,such as the development of E-Learning personalization and the state of the art of this research, personalized service and its application in E-Learning environment.Then we analyze the bottleneck problems of the development of personalized service in E-Learning and give the concept of ontology and introduce its application in E-Learning field.On base of these,the constructing methods of ontology based E-Learning environment with the function of personalized service are presented.Concrete contents are as follows.1) A personalized situation ontology model in the E-Learning environment is presented.First,the fourteen tuple of learner's personalized information is analyzed and defined.Then it is described by ontology and the corresponding concepts and the relationship between them are derived.Thus all kinds of personalized information can be combined organically and the concepts and the relationship are emerged clearly and accurately.2) Personalized situation ontology reasoning rules in the E-Learning environment are presented.According to the concepts and relationship defined in the personalized situation ontology model,personalized situation ontology reasoning rules are defined to analyze all kinds of learner's personalized active.It includes the reasoning of the learner's learning hobby and cognition states of knowledge domain.Thus the learner's learning hobby and cognition states can be concluded timely and accurately,which provides basis for personalized service.3) Personalized service processing method in the E-Learning environment is presented.In this method,the learner's personalized doubt solution and his/her further learning content recommendation are proceeded,which take account of learner's learning hobby and cognition states.Meanwhile,the adaptive reconditioning of service content is employed according to the learner's implicit feedback information so as to providing more accurate service and improving the learner's learning effect and efficiency.4) An ontology based E-Learning environment prototype system with the function of personalized service is realized.Basing on the personalized situation ontology model,personalized situation ontology reasoning rules and personalized service processing method,an ontology based E-Learning environment prototype system with the function of personalized service is developed by using Prot(?)g(?),Jena and JSP.It can be used to prove the reasonableness and effectiveness of the model and method presented.
