Accompany with the development of computer technology and the widely application of cluster in all fields of society, the requirement of job management system based on cluster technology which can manage the resources effectively among LAN is becoming very urgent. To meet these needs, this job network management system is designed. This system is one kind of system software based on OS and its main goal is to reinforce the job management function of OS. By means of applying load-balancing strategies to distribute the jobs in the system on the networked workstations, use the resource of system effectively, balance the network load of system and improve the performance of the whole system.This thesis mainly introduces the system architecture; load balance mechanism, job network coordinate accessing strategy and the security strategy of the job management system. The main results are as follows.1. The load balance mechanism research of this job management system. Deeply discussed the system's bottom support-the Network Queue System (NQS) and the load balance realization of NQS system. Analyzed various load balance arithmetic: dynamic arithmetic and static arithmetic. Based on the research of dynamic arithmetic, put forward the improved new dynamic arithmetic- the concept based on request precontract and at last give the result of the experiment.2. The research of coordinate access in job network. Analyzed the necessity of job coordinate access and the problems caused by the coordinate access, put forward two coordinate accessing strategies, and give the judgment of them.3. The security research of the system. First researched the security strategy of Windows NT systems; then researched the security strategies of the job management system from three aspects.The system is a long-term international coopering project of NWPU software engineering center. It has been checked and accepted by foreign experts. Moreover, many commercial products, including Chinese, Japanese and English versions were released. The author had taken part in the development of some versions which are mainly focused on the research based on new additional functions and the continual optimization of the system performance.
