Based On Arm's Integrated Ipc Driver Design And Implementation

Integral industry controller is a universal industry controller based on ARM9 embedded micro-processor. It integrates the computing, control, I/O and display modules into a single board, and provides high efficient, intellectual control function. Device driver is used to manipulate the hardware below and acts as an interface to the OS and application above, it plays a very important role in the integral industry controller. This paper will give a thorough introduction to the design and implementation of the device driver of the integral industry controller.Firstly, my paper will give a brief introduction to the ARM9 architecture. As a newly developed computer architecture, it has the advantage of small size, low power consuming, low price and high performance features comparing to the traditional x86 computer architecture. Then, my paper will give an overall description of the integral industry controller. It will also illustrate the characteristics and advantage of controller.Then the paper will introduce the hardware design of the integral industry controller, it will analyze the separate functional modules and I/O interfaces and give a detail introduction to the hardware design and interface of touch panel controller. My paper will mainly take the touch panel device driver as an example to illustrate the design and development process of the device driver on Linux and WinCE.Net platform, also device driver architecture introduction of Linux and WinCE.Net will be included in the paper. Real time performance is a key factor to be concerned in industry control area, this paper will analyze and compare the real time performance on the two platforms and useful conclusion will be made afterwards.Finally, this paper will introduce the real solutions of the integral industry controller in industry field. It includes control object simulation system and soft-sensing measurement instrument.
