For the sake of advance of research management level in XichangCollege, we develop "research and development of research managementsystem" project. The thesis introduces requirement analysis, systemdesign, outline design,detailed design and realization of the"research management system". Themain functions of this system include:1. we ourselves develop a special work flow engine(Work Flow Engine)basedon relational database.2. User management The users of the system is divided into four genus, superusers:can manage the entire system and grant privileges to otherusers;teacher users:teachers can submit and register the publishedscientific research thesis and scientific research productions byclient,applying a research projects;leading users: audit the scientificresearch projects applying which the teachers in this department;expertusers: examine and approve the rojects submitted by teachers.3. Research projects management Complete applications, online audit,project planning, project management of the research projects. This part,wedevelop a special work flow engine based on the relational database. Application, evaluation, selection of the projects,etc, are onthe move through the network based work flow.6. Information publishing and management mainly completenotice, news(immediately news )publishes and management.7. Expert management complete the various expert information collection,collation and publication and formed expert warehouse, these experts willbe the judges of various scientific research projects.
