| In current human affairs bureau government employees' examination and professional examination system, how to authenticate an examinee's identity and prevent people from hiring others to take the test for them, is a long-standing problem facing the Examination Management Department. Anti-forgery test ID card or combination of social identity card with test ID card has been used. However, the ID as a physical entity can be exchanged or faked and the photo on the ID usually has some normal discrepancies with the real person. In order to improve these problems existed in examinee' identification, we introduce biometric identification technique. Fingerprint is one of the unique characteristics in the human body, and it offers good enough characteristic for authentication because of its complexity. The fingerprint scanning is very fast and the scanning system is easy to use. With fingerprint scanning system, the real user's finger is needed to touch scanner. Actual physical presence ensured with touching fingerprint scanner by examinee is the most dependable way to read the human body's biometric characteristic. Therefore, adding fingerprint technique to test ID card can resolve the long-standing fraud in testing.This thesis is based on a project involving a city's testing center. It studied the advantages and disadvantages of different kind of biometric identification techniques and proposed using examinee's fingerprint to identify examinee. Through improving existing fingerprint algorithms, and this thesis proposes an improved classification algorithm based on the actual needs. Then, with the fingerprint identification as the foundation, this paper analyzes the needs in different examination management systems. This thesis proposes combining IC card with fingerprint identity system to realize the dispersed examinee fingerprint identification system. Finally, the feasibility of the system is field tested and analyzed. |
