This thesis is based on a project of COSCON named the Research and Development of the Remote Dynamic Monitoring System of Engine Room based on Shore-Ship, and is also one of the projects of Port Simulation Center in Shanghai Maritime University.With the extensive adoption of commercial low-cost satellite communication, the Remote Dynamic Monitoring System of Engine Room based on Shore-Ship(RDMSERS) has become one of hot topics. By developing this system, the author hopes to overcome various drawbacks caused by real-time information exchange between the shore and ships and to improve the engineering management of the ship company. At the same time, in order to combine production, teaching, and research, this project also carries out a simulation research based on quasi-material objects.Firstly, the thesis analyses the development and present situation of the Dynamic Monitoring System of Marine Engine Room(DMSMER). Then the author, in-depth, studies the technology of the RDMSERS and other related technologies. Finally, based on the technologies of the Fieldbus, Artificial Neural Network(ANN) and computer simulation, the author designs and develops the RDMSERS, which combines the Nautical Monitoring and Alarm System of Engine Room with the Onshore Remote Monitoring System.In first two chapters, the development and present situation of the DMSMER are introduced. The structure, functions, and simulation requirements of the system are described as well.Chapter three focuses on the simulation implementation of the Engine Room Monitoring and Alarm System Based on FCS.In chapter Ⅳ and Ⅴ, the design of IPC station in this system is described in detail. The author expounds the Radial Basis Function Neural Network(RBFN) principle, applies RBFN to set up the model of cabin equipment, and Use Matlab neural network toolbox function to virtualize the data. By studying a lot of working systems of ships, the software of man-machine interface and database visiting are designed.
