Hard-ware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) of Compression field style belongs to mechanical target emulation system. It realizes mutual movement simulation between missile and target by mechanical movement which makes radio-frequency radiant point shift relative to seeker. The system is not able to emulate complex target, multi-target or complex background, but it still exerts key function in process of missile control and guide system development in virtue of brief configuration ,good reliability and low cost. Through analyzing the principle and demand of the test, the paper analyzes the system error and evaluates its reliability, and then, analyzes influence of chief system error on result of emulation test so that we can take action by software compensation and hardware correction to reduce or eliminate error points which influence the reliability of the result of hard-ware-in-the-loop simulation.Owing to different methods in mathematical process, the errors in stimulation system consist of system error, random error and defect error. At first, error point of hard-ware-in-the-loop simulation is discussed thoroughly. And then error model of subsystem which can analyze and calculate hard-ware-in-the-loop simulation in quality and quantity. Finally, the method of theory analysis, modeling experiment, testing calibration and residual error analysis is utilized to analyze antenna system, radio-frequency power link, target signal source, tri-axial rotary table, simulation computer and reflection memory net. Computer simulation is presented to provide the foundation of the simulation system for future.
