In this paper, the moving personnel targets on the ground can be identified and their location will be estimated by the processing of the signal sampled by the multi-channel seismic sensors. The signal processing is executed both in time field and frequency field, and the identification can be accomplished by the synthesis of the processing results. Furthermore, the signal aquaired from the sensors is intermixed with much environment noise, so match filter is utilized that has the maximal signal-noise ratio to reduce its influence. As the system adopts multi-channel seismic sensors, the location of the targets can be estimated in the tracing range of the sensors. The algorithm procedure is designed to execute on a separate hardware platform. Because of the huge number of data and the complex algorithm, the digital signal processor is chose as the hardware platform owning to its fast computing ability. The whole hardware system is composed of six modules, such as data input module, data processing module, external memory module, output module, power module and supervision module. The paper also shows the software design plans, which include algorithm procedure and its convertion to executable code in DSP system, the flashburn of the code and its bootload in DSP and the design of tracing software in computer. At last, there are the experiment results of the algorithm validation composed of identification rate and tracing results, and the reason is given to the experiment results afterward.
