Millimeter wave radiometers are wireless receivers with high sensitivity. It has many characters for its special frequency, such as high sensitivity, low consumption, and small size and so on. It has been widely used in astronomy and remote sensing. It's important to research on advanced millimeter wave radiometer systems. In this dissertation, description is given on a very low-noise advanced pseudo-correlation radiometer operating at 30GHz for the Planck-LFI instrument. The detailed work includes:① The operating theory and common style of millimeter radiometers are introduced firstly. Then the operating principles and the overall architecture of the 30GHz radiometer are researched. A special pseudo-correlation scheme is used to cancel systematic low frequency noise that originated by gain and noise temperature fluctuations of the receivers.② The signal processing and the performance characterization of the system are introduced.③ Finally, a commercial software named ADS is used to realize the BPF, detector and DC amplifier of the millimeter wave radiometer. This dissertation makes a good foundation for the further researches on the advanced millimeter wave radiometer.
