With the development of the embedded and the Internet of things technology, remote control unit RTU is widely used in oil field management. In order to solve the RTU design of a single, use of the poor is not flexible and processing capacity, this topic developed an arm9-Linux based RTU.Through the study of oil well remote monitoring system, according to the requirements of field application, this paper proposes a geared to the needs of industrial field signal acquisition and control of field device of new type RTU general integration design scheme. Implements arm9-based processor and USES the Linux real-time operating system RTU system and the function modules of hardware design. The RTU can flexible configuration, can satisfy the application requirements of different occasions. The RTU using arm9 as master processor, running the Linux operating system, has strong control ability, large storage capacity, and can be compatible with a variety of communication protocol so as to greatly increase the RTU communication networking ability.The hardware design of the RTU includes the RTU core board and the design of the RTU motherboard. Function module mainly includes the data storage module, 12 digital quantity input, 10 digital output, 5 analog input, 1 external RTD, 2 RS232 communication, 3 RS485 communication, Zigbee wireless communication module and Ethernet communication module. The RTU each function block smoothly passed the function test, and did the function verification in the oil field successfully. Prove the reliability of the RTU work. Thesis completed arm9- Linux based RTU hardware system design and implementation.
