The postal transport scheduling system is a real-time opening complicated system which is characteristic of multi-components and integrative factors. Most of the methods for its modeling are traditional mathematic programming and local modeling of single unit of postal transport such as routing scheduling problem, vehicle scheduling problem, scheduling plan decision making problem, and so on. Since the combination of local optimization usually does not lead to the optimization of whole system, these models are of poor practicability naturally. In order to improve the running efficiency and service quality of postal enterprise, it is necessary to model synthetically.First, aiming at the postal systems characteristics, a layered reference model is proposed. The varied factors and parameters are distributed into the according layer, and the lower layer serves for the higher layer, then the data and problems are distributed decomposed.Second, aiming at the postal systems characteristics like large scale, too many factors, complex relations between factors, and so on, the intelligent model of postal transport scheduling system based on multi-Agent system is formed. It provides an applicable framework for the intelligent scheduling based on behavior and knowledge, and makes it possible to solve the dynamic real-time problem. By building the main factor models of postal transport system, and integrating via intelligent communication and coordination, the synthetically model of postal transportation system is formed. The classic optimization models are embedded into the model structure, so it has higher precision and quick speed of self decision. The Agents can compete and coordinate with each...
