With the development of society and life, the portable equipments, especially the PC, are being with us in all aspects. Other portable equipments, such as portable DVD, game player, etc. have lots of users. All these portable equipments need portable power supply, which not only supply power, but also have protection and management functions. This kind of portable power supply is called Smart Battery - an integration of pack and management system.At the present time, there're several relative matured percept of Smart Battery abroad, but not in China. Deficiencies, such as, complicated structure, low inflexibility, inapplicable to latest equipments and wrong parameters, etc. exist in the current Intellective Percepts. Whereas these deficiencies, we put forwarded the study of Smart Battery using the latest management cell to solve the problems as below:Increase the degree of integration to decrease the size and costs and improve the stability and liability.Study on suitable technology and calculation program, to improve the capabilities in capacity, life, and veracity of parameters, which is aimed to realize the perfect match between Smart Batter and the equipments.To improve the adaptability and flexibility required to Smart Battery by portable equipments.In the essay, it describes the key technologies for the project as well as the difficulties to realize the technology, combining relevant data and theories. The characteristic of charge the discharge of the Smart Battery determine the management of charging and discharging; the influence of temperature and load is the key factor for parameter digress, and also the factor to determine the compensation arithmetic; balancing theory and calculation program is the technology to solve the individual differences and to improve the system efficiency; to measure and calculate parameters...
