This article describes the research, design and development of a reusable visual system's framework prototype which is used as an visual sub-system of a virtual training system. The Design of the reusable visual system framework prototype, which solves the problems of visual object management, communication management and system configurations of old systems, is Based on the research and analysis of old visual sub-system of virtual training simulation systems.The reusable visual system framework prototype, which is developed under VC programming development environment, is based on High Level Architecture(HLA) and Sim3D which is one graphic engine based on DirectX. Using the reusable visual system framework to develop visual sub-system of virtual training system can greatly reduce the work of developing visual training system.Based on the reusable visual system framework prototype, a visual system, which is used to visualize the process of driving a fighter, has developed. The visual system is a sub-system of a virtual training system. The visual system can display the whole flying process of a fighter and provides various observe angles. And the visual fighter contains a cabin which has many handles and meters. The handles and meters, which simulate the real ones, can act independently. The visual sub-system can be used for driving training of pilots before they drive the real fighter.
