Design And Implementation Of Metadata-based Audit System, Data Processing Subsystem

Auditing department is an important department in commercial bank. It's responsible for the internal auditing work. Off-field auditing bases on the operation source data, gets the deriving data from the data processing subsystem to validate various operations. The operation source data is the key of the auditing system. Its accuracy and integrity are the foundation of completing auditing task successfully.Data processing subsystem has an important role in the auditing system .The operation source data is processed by it according to the requirements of auditing system into various indicators. Data processing subsystem obtains the operation source data from enterprise data warehouse, transmits the data to auditing system by the procedure of ETL (Extract Transform Load) which cleans and transforms the source data in the transmission process to meet the need of the calculation of subsequent indicators.This paper takes some commercial bank's auditing system as platform and discusses the method about design and realization the data processing subsystem which is based on metadata. The system makes full use of the advantage of metadata, accomplishes the automatism produce of leading script by data and tasks' automatism attemper and so on based on metadata in the ETL process. Taking capability into account, we add ODS (operational data store) as a middle layer into the system framework. First of all, the ETL module transmits the data from data warehouse to ODS. Then ODS tidies up those datum and transmits the processed datum to the auditing system. The auditing system defines many indicators based on the operation whose count methods are stored in the forms by the form of metadata. The system counts the values of these indicators by the operation source data, which can provide data guarantee for system alarm, supervision and statistic.Auditing system is the application of data warehouse, it has huge datum which has bad effect on the data processing subsystem's capability. So capability optimize is imperative under the situation. There are simple introduces about the capability optimize from some aspects in this thesis which have gain preferably effect in practice.
