With the growing number of web services, it is necessary to find a way to compose existing web services according to service request. Researchers both in the fields of academe and industry have shown great interest in solving this problem. Current technology of web services composition has many limits,such as: web services can't be discovered, selected, and composed automatically because explicit semantic is not supported and the messages transferred between them can't be understood easily; the interaction between web services is realized through SOAP and lack of autonomy and adaptability so that they can't adapt to the dynamic network environment. Besides, current technology of we services composition is based on BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) that is centralized. It is the bottle-neck of web services composition.Under the background of web services composition, this dissertation focuses on the key technologies of web services composition. A web services semantic interaction model that is based on ontology is presented. Based on this model, a prototype system named ABWSC (Agent Based Web Services Composition) is designed and realized. After that, web services are applied into the system of supply chain. The dissertation is mainly composed of four parts as follows:(1) A semantic model of web services interaction based on ontologies integrationIn this dissertation, a semantic interaction model which integrates the distributed ontologies using inclusion relation to mapping terminologies is presented. Through analyzing the logic structure of ontology, an integration algorithm of distributed ontologies was proposed, which based on the inclusion relating terms belonged to different ontologies.(2) Agent-based web services composition frameworkBased on agent technology, a web services composition framework is proposed in this dissertation. According to the idea of MDA(Model Driven Architecture) we present the three-layered concept architecture of agent-based web service composition system.
