Research On Ontology Integration And It's Application In Supply Chain Management

With the sharpening constantly of market competition degree and incorporationof global economy, it is hard to adapt to the development of the market depend on oneenterprise's resources. This meaning resource management of enterprises has alreadyturned from the merger, optimizes and applied of resources inside enterprises to allthe resources of the whole supply chain. The foundation of the alliance of companiesmakes enterprises not the independent market competition element, but a member ofthe supply chain. So how to meet customer's demands by holding relevant informationefficiently has became a question that all enterprise must faced. Because the codestandard and naming rule which each enterprise adopts are not in same form, it makesthe information between each unit of a supply chain has difference, then hindermessage circulation in supply chain. Aim at the defects in traditional products dataintegrity, this paper introduces ontology into supply chain management;make theontology as carrier of enterprise information. So we can eliminate the variance ofdifferent enterprises product information through ontology integrity technique toprovider unify information resource for every member in supply chain.On the other hand, the amount of information expands at a high speed and therehave many deficiencies consist in the existing information retrieval system. In thispaper, we put forward a new kind of information retrieval system based on ontologyaim at this situation. This system adopts ontology as the knowledge library, and makesthe system can searches the information which user interested quickly by the strongsemantics information describe capability and reasoning mechanism. Moreover it canimprove the extensible capability through ontology integrity technique to importexterior knowledge library information. In this paper we introduce the conception ofontology and vary application field of it, discuss the requirement of ontology integritythoroughly from realizing of ontology reuse. Based on this, we analyze the questionsinvolved in ontology integrity and its solution.In the end, we analyze the information of product (part) and relations betweenproducts based on practice investigation;also we try to express this information byontology. We developed a tool to exchange the mark of different ontology foreliminating the mismatch between ontologies, then given a way to shield the varianceof different enterprises information and eliminate redundancy by ontology integrity.
