Virtual Instruments are PC-based instrument system, whose measuring and processing functions are implemented by programs. Along with the development of communication and network technology, the Networked Virtual Instruments appeared. Networked Virtual Instruments implement networked measurement, which is the outcome of virtual instruments integrate with network communication technologies.Using Networked Virtual Instruments into laboratory construction result in virtual lab based on the networked virtual instruments technology, which provides experiments, experience communication, cooperation platform and realize the hardware sharing.The dissertation describes the design and developments of the networked virtual measuring and processing instrument system based on the studies on the existed technologies to realize networked virtual instruments and create software foundation aiming at virtual instruments measuring lab, which consists of network management server running at web server to manage users of lab, measuring server to execute clients'command, and software running at clients.The first chapter summarizes the networked test, networked instruments and Virtual Instrument Technology. The main study work,the theories that this project according as and application significance will be described in this chapter. In the second chapter, the technology and development tools used for this project will be introduced.In the third chapter, the general structure of basic unit in the networked measurement system will be introduced. Then the construction, function and principle of system's modules will be explained.In the forth chapter, software design of Virtual Instrument Technology based on GPIB-Bus, and working flow of local control flat will be introduced in detail. In the fifth and next chapter, they contain design of the web server and test server, network programming of this project. The program of data exchange based on Virtual Instrument Technology and some research result will be given.
