Nowadays, automation technology, computer technology and network technology are developing rapidly, at the same time, driven by the increasing requirement of process monitoring in all kinds of fields, more and more real-time monitoring and control systems are used . So people also pay more attention to the research of Integrated Development Environment and runtime environment of real-time monitoring and control system.Integrated Development Environment and runtime environment of real-time monitoring and control system are also called configurable software .Many configurable software have shortcoming in software architecture, and most of them can only run on Windows operating system. That' s because of some historical reasons. Software has inherent complexity, if the structure is not reasonable and modules are not clearly decomposed, the stability will decrease. And also when we update the software, it is difficult to modify one place and has least effect on other places, which decrease the software maintainability . Only running on Windows operating system, problems will occur when we want to make the software run in embedded system.To solve the problems above, this thesis makes a big improve based on the analysis of some common-used configurable software. The main objective is to separate Integrated Development Environment at design time and application server at runtime,apply the idea of application server in enterprise applications to monitoring and control system, extend the concept of real-time database , so improve the stability and maintainability of the whole system.
