Compared with the Low Range Resolution (LRR),High Range Resolution (HRR) radar can supply more structure information of targets. It is one of the most important development directions in modern radar. HRR radar has much extensive application prospects in targets detection, targets imaging, targets identification and so on. Due to the targets and clutter's specific characteristics of HRR radar, there are several new technical problems in signal detection, such as the detection under the unRayleigh clutter background. So far, there has not been a mature signal detection approach for HRR radar signals yet. In this dissertation, radar detection in HRR has been taken as background. The followings are main contents of this dissertation:(1) Based on analyzing the targets and the clutter's specific characteristics of HRR radar, the echo models of targets and clutter have been studied respectively; the changes of targets'echoes in different elevation angles, azimuth angles and attitude angles have been analyzed; then, the echo models of LFM radar clutter have been established.(2) Based on CFAR techniques of low resolution radar under the Rayleigh clutter background, the Double Threshold Detection (DTD) method which is suitable for HRR radar has been discussed, and then an approach of double threshold detection under unRayleigh background has been given. By means of the Monte-Carlo simulation method, the detection performances have been analyzed.(3) The Mono-Pulse Range cell Integration Detection (MPRID) method has been improved to adapt to the unRayleigh clutter background, and then the Monte-Carlo simulation method has been used to analyze the detection performances compared with the DTD.(4) After factual characteristics of targets and clutter have been studied, an approach of radar signal detection based on Factual has been given and analyzed deeply, the influence caused by different window length, signal to clutter ratio (SCR) and clutter background has been analyzed, then the Monte-Carlo simulation method has been used to analyze the detection performances.The simulation results show that employing both DTD and MPRID can make use...
